Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of determining the effectiveness of teaching math skills on increasing the crystallized intelligence of secondary school students of Shahid schools. The current research was semi-experimental research with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The research population included the students of Shahid second secondary schools in the 4th district of Tehran in the academic year of 2013-2014. Using the available sampling method, 30 students of the studied community were selected and randomly replaced into two experimental groups (15 people with math skills training package) and a control group. The experimental group received math skills training during 10 sessions of 80 minutes. To collect data, math skills training package and crystal intelligence test (Seadatee Shamir and Zahtakesh, 1401) were used. The results of covariance analysis showed that the mathematical skills training package increased crystallized intelligence in students aged 16 to 18 years. Teaching math skills to second year high school students increased their personality-emotional, social-cultural, practical-technical abilities and successful intelligence and happiness intelligence in them. Students who receive more accurate math skills training will find more and more regular analysis power and think more creatively about personal, social, cultural, spiritual, management, economic and philosophical issues and find new solutions to achieve They think more about the answers to problems and with more metacognitive intelligence, they search for more creative and new solutions and increase their cognitive knowledge to reach the final result about solving a problem based on order and pattern.
